The Challenge

Wedding and event photos live scattered across hundreds of guests' phones, disconnected from where or when they were taken, and most couples never see the majority of them. Event Rewind wanted a single platform where every guest's photos and videos flow into one gallery, automatically organized by venue location, with a genuinely frictionless way for guests to contribute: no app download, no account, just a scan.

The Engineering Strategy

HashOne Global built Event Rewind end to end: account creation and event setup, a location-pin venue mapping system, guest upload with automatic metadata capture, a moderation queue, a real-time gallery, a digital guestbook, slideshow generation and Stripe-based subscription billing.

Two things carry the real engineering weight. Uploads are tied to the venue location pins set during event setup, so every guest photo sorts automatically into the right part of the map instead of one undifferentiated feed, and failed uploads retry rather than forcing a guest to start over on venue wifi. The partner system runs a genuine multi-party commission engine underneath: photographer referral codes, licensed-venue promotional codes and non-licensed-venue commissions each follow different payout rules, with an explicit precedence order when a photographer referral and a venue code collide on the same purchase, settled automatically through Stripe Connect.

AI sits on top of that foundation: a planning assistant answers questions on themes, seating and budgeting, and a floor plan generator turns a plain-language venue description into the visual map the rest of the platform organizes memories around.
